Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of yourcryptoguide.com.au. By using the site you agree to them. The single most important term is the first one: nothing here is advice.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

yourcryptoguide.com.au (“the site”) is operated by AM Marketing Group Pty Ltd (ABN 37 613 053 286) (“Your Crypto Guide”, “we”, “us”). These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the disclosures on How We Make Money and How We Compare, govern your use of the site.

2. General information only — not advice

Your Crypto Guide provides factual information and general educational content only. Nothing on this site is financial product advice within the meaning of section 766B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), legal advice or tax advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation or statement of opinion that is intended to influence — or should be regarded as intended to influence — your decision in relation to any financial product or class of financial products, and nothing has been prepared with reference to your objectives, financial situation or needs.

AM Marketing Group Pty Ltd does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and is not an authorised representative of an AFSL holder. We are not registered tax agents. Before acting on any information on this site, you should consider its appropriateness to your circumstances and seek independent advice from a licensed financial adviser, a registered tax agent (check the register at tpb.gov.au) or another qualified professional.

Crypto-assets are speculative and highly volatile; you can lose everything you invest, past performance is no guarantee of future results, and holdings on digital asset platforms are not covered by the Financial Claims Scheme. Australian regulation of digital asset platforms is in transition, and consumer protections remain limited compared with traditional investments.

3. No reliance

Content on this site is provided for general reading, not as a basis for decisions. You must not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances. Calculators and tools on this site produce illustrative estimates only: their outputs are not advice, are not confirmations of any liability or entitlement, and must not be relied on to satisfy tax or other legal obligations. Using this site does not create an adviser–client, agent–client or any other professional relationship between you and us.

4. Accuracy, currency and “last verified” dates

We take care to source figures from primary documents and to re-verify money pages monthly (see our methodology), but fees, features, regulatory status, tax rules and laws change frequently and sometimes without notice. Information is current only as at the “last verified” or “last updated” date shown on the relevant page, and may be incomplete or superseded by the time you read it. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete or current, and you should confirm any figure with the relevant provider, or any rule with the relevant regulator or a professional adviser, before acting. We do not compare all providers in any market we cover.

5. Liability — and your non-excludable rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any liability we may have for misleading or deceptive conduct.

Subject to that paragraph, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: the site and its content are provided “as is”; we exclude all other warranties, whether express or implied; and we are not liable for any loss or damage (including loss of profits and investment losses, and whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise) suffered in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to the resupply of the relevant information or services or the cost of resupply. You acknowledge that decisions you make about acquiring or disposing of any asset or service are your own.

The site links to third-party websites, including partners who may pay us a fee or commission when you click through, sign up or submit an enquiry — see our advertiser disclosure. Linked sites are not under our control: we are not responsible for their content, products, security or privacy practices, and a link (paid or unpaid) is not an endorsement or a recommendation. Your dealings with any third party, including any account, product or service you take up, are between you and them, on their terms. Complaints about a partner’s financial services should go to that partner first and may then be taken to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority — see our contact page.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the site — text, data tables, graphics, logos and code — is owned by or licensed to AM Marketing Group Pty Ltd and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You must not otherwise reproduce, scrape, republish, frame or commercially exploit any part of the site without our prior written consent. Trade marks and brand names of third parties appearing on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

8. Acceptable use

You must not, in connection with the site:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • submit false or misleading information through any form, or submit another person’s personal information without their authority;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data, including by automated means, except as permitted by a written licence or by law;
  • interfere with the site’s operation or security, probe or test its vulnerabilities, or impose unreasonable load on its infrastructure; or
  • reproduce our content in a way that presents it as advice or as endorsed by us.

We may suspend or block access for breach of these terms.

9. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and your continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state and of the Commonwealth of Australia. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms: hello@yourcryptoguide.com.au. All other channels are on the contact page.
